Contemporary Red With White Shyrdak Tree Skirt
Elevate your tree with this bright and luxurious artisanal Red with White Shyrdak Tree Skirt. Designed on a recent trip to Kyrgyzstan, in a village on the shores of Lake Issyk Kul, it is beautifully crafted in the traditional nomadic Shyrdak rug style by a local women's cooperative called Altyn Oimok (Golden Thimble). Hand stitched from two sheets of thick hand-made felt that are cut into identical shapes and reassembled into a mosaic-like textile of interlocking positive and negative harmonious patterns. Each skirt is uniquely handmade.
Magical and made with love - this tree skirt has a heavier, quilted deluxe feel with tie-closures at its opening to ensure a secure fit. It also features un-dyed naturally brown wool on its underside. Fits great for a large size tree and long lasting to save for many years to come.
- Made from sustainably harvested, locally-sourced merino-blended wool.
- Fairly traded and made with love.
- Diameter: 60" / 152.4cm.
- Radius: 28" / 71.12cm.
- Inner circle opening: 7" / 17.78cm.
