Growth Cycle of a Maple Tree Learning Kit
Join us for a walk in the woods, and a glimpse into the wonders of the forest and its cycles of growth and change, with our Maple Tree Growth Cycle learning kit.
Our collaboration with Caldecott winner and Children’s Book Illustrator Doug Salati takes us through the seasons of the Maple tree’s growth, with five felted Growth Cycle ornaments, a double-sided poster illustrated by Salati, as well as a postcard of Salati’s growth cycle drawings, and a sticker set of Salati’s leaf botanical drawing.
Please note: These kits are not for small children, and are recommended for kids 5+. The seedling and the sapling ornaments have wires within their felt bodies, which can occasionally poke through the felt. We recommend that they be used together with an adult.
The learning kit includes one of each of the following:
- Felt Samara “helicopter” seed pod – 2.5’ x 2’
- Felt + Wire Seedling H: 5.5’ W: 1.5”
- Felt + Wire Sapling H: 7’ W: 5’
- Autumnal Felt Leaf: H: 3.5’ W: 4’
- Spring Felt Leaf: H: 3.5’ W: 4’
- 1 double-sided poster illustrated by Doug Salati: H: 20’ x W: 14’
- 1 postcard illustrated by Doug Salati: 5’x7’
- 1 sticker set: 5’x7’
Like all of our ornaments, this set comes ready to gift in a lovely cotton pouch (poster packaged separately), along with a postcard highlighting our product's handmade and fair-trade story. You can also add a gift message at checkout.
