Wonder, Whimsy, and the Wild Unknown

Wonder, Whimsy, and the Wild Unknown

Step into a world of playful mystery and heartfelt creativity at Wonder, Whimsy, and the Wild Unknown, a vibrant new group art show featuring the work of Ellen Niz, Bianca Dominguez and Alex Jamieson.

The show opens with a Spring Celebration on Friday, April 11 from 4–7pm, inviting the public to meet the featured artists:

Ellen Niz

Bianca Dominguez

Alexandra Jamieson

The exhibition brings together unexpected yet emotionally resonant works—ranging from tea-inspired watercolors to anatomical heart ceramics, monoprints, and a collection of  altered books made from vintage materials. Each piece in the show celebrates the creative unknown: the magic of transformation, memory, ritual, and imagination.

Alongside the artwork, the Craftspring Storefront will debut its latest artisan-crafted ornament collections, including High Tea, Alice in Wonderland, and Easter designs—all dreamed up in Brooklyn and made by women artisans around the world. These tiny works of wonder offer a perfect pairing to the show’s themes of storytelling, enchantment, and joyful rebellion.

“This show is about delighting in the unexpected,” says Community Events Coordinator Alexandra Jamieson. “It’s about the power of small things—like tea cups, hearts, and hand-made journals—to awaken big feelings and connect us to something wilder within ourselves, and with each other.”
