How's it made: Allakiz Tree Skirt

How's it made: Allakiz Tree Skirt

June 22, 2016

It is the beauty and character of a tree skirt that adds a certain warmth and completeness to one’s Christmas tree. As with the ornaments we choose to build our family’s collection, the tree skirt we choose and use each year deepens our Christmas tradition and adds significantly to the visual memory of our holiday.

Take a look at how our Allakiz tree skirt is made with the magic of felt! This particular style is handmade by two of our amazing artisan partners, Fariza and Sveta. The chosen motif connects back to a time of nomads and shamans, a time when humans lived in harmony with and believed in the sanctity of the natural world. Rendered beautifully whimsical in wool, this is truly a wonderful keepsake to add to your joyful holiday tradition!
