As many of our existing collections are anchored in core values—more and more Waldorf schools, stores and families have come to feature our delightfully engaging handmade products. It’s been an honor to discover the Waldorf community and their joy of teaching the “heart, head and hands” of their students. We absolutely love the idea that Waldorf schools honor, protect and sustain the wonder of childhood. A childhood rooted in a creative aesthetic that includes a lot of work with felt and wool crafts not to mention rainbows, things handmade, yarn, fairy tales and Elsa Beskow…. we love it all!
One of the things we love most about the Waldorf way is the cadence of festivals that mark the its Calendar. We love this rhythm—so linked to the seasons, the natural world and to ancient cultures and traditions.
We were first introduced to the Waldorf Calendar by the amazing women from The Juniper Tree —one of our great Waldorf Store clients. The Juniper Tree is a beautiful and colorful store just beside the Austin Waldorf School. Based upon their design feedback and advice we are preparing a whole new collection of Waldorf-inspired ornaments and dolls for each of the Waldorf festivals. But we realize that the Craftspring world is already very much attuned to these festivals and year-round celebrations. Check out our Craftspring Waldorf Calendar below!
